Sam is currently pursuing a PhD in synthetic plant biology at the Earlham Institute in Norwich, UK. Sam completed an industry-based placement at the Kumasi Hive Biolab in Ghana with our partner Beneficial Bio. Beneficial Bio is a not-for-profit startup aiming to provide low-cost, accessible and environmentally friendly lab reagents to scientists in resource limited labs around the world. Sam was part of a teaching team delivering a protein production course and ran his own bioinformatics teaching course in collaboration with Open Bioeconomy Lab.
