Ana joined the OBL as a PhD student at the University of Cambridge in October 2021. Before coming to Cambridge, she attended Purdue University in the United States and obtained a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. During this time, Ana worked on the development of point-of-care diagnostics for bovine respiratory disease and COVID-19. While at Cambridge, she is working on the CRISPR-TyphoidDx project trying to obtain colorimetric readouts from the diagnostic tests. In her free time, Ana enjoys doing art, taking on DIY projects and cooking.
