Shaping the future of science, technology and innovation for sustainable development goals

  • Thomas Mboa
  • February 6, 2020

Thomas Mboa (Cameroon Node) attended an important event from 3-5 February in the United Nations office at Vienna, Austria.

The event was organised by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD), the UN Office of Outer Space Affairs (OOSA), and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The workshop was focused on deciding the best way to structure the 2020 Science, Technology and Innovation Forum.

The format of the workshop contained cross-cutting meeting themes including the role of traditional knowledge, potential impacts of emerging technologies, barriers for scaling-up solutions, and ways to ensure that STI benefits all, leaving no one behind.

The presentation given by Thomas is available here.
