Anna Bird
Collaborator
Anna is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge. While completing her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University, she conducted research on low-cost paper diagnostics for detection of MERS-CoV. She is passionate about global health and increasing accessibility to healthcare through academic research, policy reform, and open access science. Under the supervision of Lisa Hall, Anna is now investigating low cost synthesis of biological reagents for diagnostics. She collaborates closely with the Open Bioeconomy Lab to understand the constraints of working in low resource settings and uses this knowledge to better inform her research.
