Samuel Asamoah Sakyi, Ph.D is a research scientist and Senior Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the Department of Molecular Medicine. Dr Sakyi has over 20 scientific papers and projects and is an internationally recognized expert in many areas of advanced biomedical sciences including immunology, chemical pathology, biomarkers discovery, pregnancy and child health and clinical research.
Within the Open Bioeconomy Lab project, Dr Sakyi is the Research Lead for Ghana, supervising the operation of the Hive BioLab and establishing a local enzyme manufacturing protocol while also leading development of an open postgraduate-level curriculum for recombinant protein expression.
